Hackfit San Francisco Final Results

HackfitSFPhoto

From an epic start at the Palace of Fine Arts to an inspirational finish at Tagged Headquarters, Hackfit San Francisco can officially be deemed a huge success.

It is our core belief that activity inspires innovation and builds camaraderie. Throughout the weekend, Hackfit participants racked up a total of 17,828 minutes of exercise – or 297 hours – which, when divided by our estimation of the number of people who stayed for the whole weekend (~120) comes out to about 2.5 hours of exercise per person for the whole weekend.

On top of that, each team created an incredible business plan and prototype. On demo day, these were graded by our expert panel of judges and given a score in each of our four criteria. Here’s the final breakdown for each team. Business, technical, wow factor, and activity scores were all averaged for the final score.

Hackfit was so much fun and so inspiring! I really liked the fitness companies Fitmob, Basic Training, and Studiomix that I had never heard of. I met really awesome people and really enjoyed the project we worked on. I learned that I need to work on design skills and iOS development especially to get more out of the experience. The food was really good from RJCatering. There could have been more beverages besides water even though it’s not healthy. I liked the Tagged office and the Palace of Fine Arts was awesome too.
